What to Expect

Day 1: Arusha – Arusha National Park

Your adventure begins with a morning pickup from Moshi or Arusha, followed by a short scenic drive to Arusha National Park. This is one of Tanzania’s most charming and underrated parks, offering a little bit of everything:

  • Peaceful forest trails
  • Mount Meru viewpoints
  • Momella lakes filled with flamingos
  • Black-and-white colobus monkeys swinging in the treetops

Depending on your preference, you can enjoy a game drive, or request the optional walking safari accompanied by an armed ranger for a more intimate nature experience.

After your exciting wildlife day, you’ll head to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Arusha – Tarangire National Park

After an early breakfast, you’ll drive to Tarangire National Park, famous for its iconic baobabs, dramatic landscapes, and large herds of elephants.

On a good day, you might spot hundreds of them grazing near the Tarangire River.

Your full-day game drive gives you incredible chances to spot:

  • Elephants

  • Lions

  • Leopards

  • Zebras

  • Wildebeest

  • Giraffes

  • Various bird species

A picnic lunch will be served at a safe viewpoint inside the park. In the late afternoon, proceed to your lodge or campsite for a relaxed evening.

Day 3: Ngorongoro Crater – Return to Moshi/Arusha

Start your morning with an early descent into the world-famous Ngorongoro Crater — a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the most densely populated wildlife areas in Africa.

Because the crater floor is enclosed by towering volcanic walls, wildlife is easier to spot, giving you some of the best chances to see:

  • The Big Five

  • Black rhinos (rare in many parks but commonly seen here)

  • Lions relaxing near the hippo pool

  • Hyenas

  • Buffaloes

  • Flamingos

You’ll enjoy a picnic lunch by the water while taking in the spectacular crater scenery. After your game drive, begin your journey back to Arusha or Moshi, arriving in the late afternoon.

Room Type & Sharing Policy

Our tours are priced based on shared accommodation in twin or double rooms as the default option. If you prefer your own room, a single supplement can be arranged upon request.

Meals Included

Hotels in Arusha and Moshi typically provide breakfast only, unless a different meal plan has been arranged for your booking. Your itinerary will clearly indicate what is included each night.

Drinks at Safari Lodges

Most safari lodges do not include drinks such as tea, coffee, sodas, wine, or beer. This helps keep package costs fair—you only pay for what you choose to drink. Beverages are available for purchase at lodge restaurants and bars.

About Tented Lodges (Common in Safari Areas)

Tented camps are the most authentic way to experience the savannah. Many operate with solar power, so you may find:

  • Bucket showers instead of pressurized hot-water systems

  • Limited or slower Wi-Fi

  • No hair dryers or high-voltage appliances

These eco-friendly practices help protect wildlife habitats and reduce the lodge’s environmental footprint. We kindly recommend reading about the camps in your itinerary to ensure their style matches your comfort preferences.

Pricing Transparency

Your final safari cost may vary depending on:

  • The type of accommodation you choose (budget / mid-range / luxury)

  • Availability during your travel dates

  • Room configuration (shared or single)

We’ll always share options clearly and help you choose what fits your budget best.
